 The Vision

"Upon suffering, beyond suffering, the Red Nation shall rise again, and it shall be a blessing to a sick and broken world. A world filled with broken promises, selfishness, and separations. A world longing for light again.

I see a time of Seven Generations when all the colors of mankind will gather under the Sacred Tree of Life, and the whole Earth will become one circle again. In that day, there will be those among the Lakota who will carry knowledge and understanding of unity among all living things, and the young ones will come to those of my people and ask for this wisdom.

I salute the light that is within your eyes where the whole Universe dwells.  For, when you at that center within you, and I am at that place within me, then, we shall be as one."

Crazy Horse, September 1, 1877

Late Summer, 2015, Elder, Robert Black Eagle embarked on an eight week westward journey, culminating in Vision Questing in Hovenweep National Monument, near Cortez, CO. It was there, on the fourth morning of Ceremony and Prayer, he was given the vision and prophecy what would emerge as the Seventh Generation Native American Church. Upon returning home, Robert established the legal foundation of the Church by forming a non-profit corporation in the state of Georgia, followed by Federal 501(c)3 non-profit. After a nearly three year influence of the COVID pandemic, the Church began hosting weekly Spiritual Celebration Services in Athens, GA. Now, in its fourth year post COVID, the Church hosts weekly gatherings, Men’s Fellowship, Sister Warrior’s Fellowship, and four seasonal and major Ceremonies yearly.

A multi-cultural Fellowship, the fulfillment of the Seventh Generation Prophecy is being fulfilled among us, even now.

Mission, Purpose, Prayer

I speak often of the vision/prophecy of Crazy Horse, the great Sioux warrior, as he sat, in prayer, with Sitting Bull, just four days before he was murdered. In his vision, Crazy Horse saw that “In that day (i.e., the advent of the seventh generation) there will be those among the Native/Indigenous Elders [sic] (Lakota) who will carry knowledge and understanding of unity among all living things, and the young (white) ones will come to those of my people and ask for this wisdom.”

Created and founded by Robert Black Eagle, Principal Elder, the intention and mission of the Seventh Generation Native American Church is to honor that vision, by providing wise counsel, wisdom, guidance, teaching, and ceremony, to any and all who come in a good way, with clean hands, an open heart, sincere spirit, and a deep desire to walk in beauty, affirming each step as prayer and enlightenment, seeking unity, understanding, harmony, peace, and justice to and among all living things.
